Balkan Job Market
Balkanjobmarket.com is a regional employment platform designed to improve access to work and strengthen labour-market inclusion in the Western Balkans. The platform was developed as part of the European Union–funded project Beyond Barriers: Roma Resilience in the Western Balkans, which aims to reduce socio-economic inequalities and promote equal opportunities.
The platform operates across North Macedonia, Serbia, Albania, Kosovo, and Bosnia and Herzegovina, connecting unemployed jobseekers with private companies that are looking for motivated and skilled workers. By offering a transparent and structured system for job matching, Balkan Job Market supports fair recruitment processes and helps bridge the gap between labour-market demand and untapped potential.
The platform allows employers to publish job vacancies and identify suitable matches based on skills, experience, and preferences. At the same time, jobseekers can create profiles, upload CVs, explore employment opportunities. The platform is available in multiple languages and designed to be accessible, user-friendly, and inclusive.
Beyond matching people with jobs, the platform also serves as a tool for monitoring employment trends and outcomes. Aggregated data generated through the platform helps partners and stakeholders better understand labour-market needs, identify barriers to employment, and support evidence-based advocacy for inclusive employment policies at national and regional levels.
By fostering cooperation between jobseekers, employers, civil society, and institutions, Balkan Job Market contributes to building a more inclusive, resilient, and equitable labour market—where access to work is based on skills and potential, and no one is left behind.
